Alt+0186. Hold alt and press the number sequence. Bummer... it should let you download the ZIP file, then open it... dunno, maybe just try again? Now down to 99º! ^^

Just saw the pictures, wow.. Jess, maybe I can email them to you. The chest tube one almost made me queezy. Almost lol. And man that artery tube is long! (I don't like surgery!! lol.) All I can say is you're really brave to be going through all that and smiling. I think I would be freaking out big time. I guess the worst is over right? All uphill from here? Edit: Oh cool I just noticed the signs on the wall behind you in the pic of you smiling, does the top one say Jehovah's Witness? I know I see "Witness" and I can't think of what else it might be lol. And the bottom one says "Pls make sure no tubing gets caught on siderail"? Ouch, I hope that hasn't happened! Awesome little plushie in that pic with you and nurse Sharon.

This is my first real surgery, and Mom and the nurses all say I'm doing it wonderfully. The "happy face" pic was mostly from the morphine, but I'm a half-full guy anyway. ;D Well, I got all unwired yesterday, except for the chest tube, and that's supposed to come out today!! *boogiedance* I found out the cause of my back pain and headaches: the tube doesn't just go in a couple inches like I thought, it goes around inside my ribcage and up to the top of my lung to suck out excess fluid... 10 inches long the thing is. 8\ But it's coming out today and I should be able to go home tomorrow! Jehovah's Witnesses do not accept blood transfusions because of Genesis 9:4 - "Only flesh with its blood do not eat." Yah, the tubing got caught once and tipped the pumper thing over, not a big deal. =P I think it happened because Mom was offering more help than the nurse wanted and they got tangled. *rofl* That's my substitute when I can't be with my kitties. ^^ Lion cub used to be named Malachi, but now I just call it "the lion" or something to that effect. =P

11 am: I just got the tube pulled out! =D And I got to take a shower!! UPDATE: (10 pm) Popcycles are a miracle drug. I was watching "How It's Made" today, and the clear shiny screwdriver handles reminded me of popcycles, so I asked the nurse for some... she only brought one, but my blaaaaarg mood has nearly evaporated.

Awesome! Hehe. I'm glad you get to go home. Will someone be around to take care of you? Or won't you need that? (Sorry for the short reply, I've been sooo busy cleaning up after Halloween You don't even want to see my house!!)

That sounds like a good plan. Oh yeah, I'm REALLY not a party animal...unfortunately my 5-year-old and 3-year-old are another story lol. Popcorn, candy, newspaper, and pumpkin gut fragments were covering our floor and walls.

Oh gross. My idea of a good party is board games and karaoke. =P

You sing karaoke? I used to when I was a kid, before I knew how to be morbidly embarrassed by my awful singing voice. ;D
So, did you leave the hospital yet?

No; my fever keeps coming back, but I'm a lot better now, I should be going home tomorrow. ^^ I am so behind in school now, I have this paper that was due like a month or so ago, and my instructors don't even know why I've been gone for 2 weeks. I was once voted second in a karaoke at my friend's graduation party. I couldn't find any of my favorite songs there, and the one I picked was a tad higher than "my key", but everyone loved it. I'm very good at hitting and holding notes, especially if I have the score in front of me, so most of my favorite songs to sing are from "Sing Praises to Jehovah", which is where I learned to read music, too. =P

They'll understand once they find out what happened.. Right? They should be patient and give you time to catch up.
I want to hear you sing now lol. ;D
