Man, it would be awesome to be home-schooled. But noooo, my parents just have to send me to the WORST school in my whole state. I really want to kill them....

In my honest oppinion, homeschooling is actually harder than you think. I've been homeschooled for two years now (And I think that it's awesome some of you guys are homeschooled too!!) But I've been seriously depressed about it because often times no one is home to talk to and I haven't seen some of my friends since middle school and I miss them lots. Well, that's just my oppinion And thats one of the reasons I'm joining some message boards

Welcome Sunfeather and Torro!! *hugs you guys* =D Wow that's interesting because right now I'm kind of debating whether or not to homeschool my own kids (I have two little girls.. I'm not that old though lol).. So maybe since you have experience you can list off some pros and cons for me. (Sunfeather mentions a good "con" that I hadn't thought of...loneliness. I'm sorry Sunfeather. )

Maybe we should start another thread on homeschooling ups and downs. I got several more.

Starting early is the key, and make sure the kids have some sort of social life as well. I didn't try homeschooling until 9th grade, and it was miserable. I got all A's though. *shrugs* But I somehow missed an entire chapter of Algebra II and now I'm clueless about matrix calculations. Thankfully they have so few applications. @ Torro - Theoretical physicist, eh? Sounds right up my alley. I'm taking mechanical engineering, but I really enjoy advanced mathematics and far-out theories (that's why my favorite TV show is Doctor Who), although I wouldn't be much use in a laboratory, because I don't really know how to work equations beyond Calc II, but theoretically, there's not much I don't understand. ;D

Quick 'ello to my cousin Barbara, otherwise known as Flamula! She's too scared to post, so I'm doing it for her. (She's living with us in New York, we share the same bedroom and computer!!!) LoL, she's a neat- bug (If that's a word) so yeh, she likes to clean my room for me, and she's a critique. LoL, right now, we're looking on line to find an avatar that suits her. Ah, well, great to have a relative on the board. =)
