I think they're taking a wrong turn. If youth leaders have to entice teenagers with violence, those teenagers probably don't want to hear about God anyway. It's a little too compromising for my personal taste.

Is violence in church really all that bad? There's a lot of violence in the Bible. Besides, it's just a video game so it isn't even real violence.
I think the issue is more of using the "we are fun people, hang out with us" image the churches are putting on is the focus of the article. The churches are getting desperate to appeal to modern teens.
