since the other thread inspired me to talk about plants and gardens =O i have a garden i share with my mom and it takes up about half our backyard. we have a small greenhouse in the side for plants that cant handle cold weather, such as a little lemon tree. we have a bunch of different vegetables right now, including some really really sweet carrots yum. my favorite would be the two boxes of strawberry bushes. i love strawberries and in the summer, it feels like a never-ending supply of red sweetness. my mom has planted a lot of yellow flowers around the garden since yellow attracts the most predators, such as wasps. we have a wasps nest in our backyard and we LOVE it. wasps are so great for population control of nasty vegetable-eating worms and caterpillars. wasps 4-ever ![:-*](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v424/AnimeBoards/wub.gif) we dont use any chemicals or pesticides because they suck and part of the fun in having a garden to begin with is being able to see all the activity that bugs and spiders bring to the garden environment. all the activity really makes it come alive!! a garden with few bugs would be so lonely and sad ._. our garden is full of diverse insect and spider life. today, i saw at least 7 distinct species of spiders and at least 4 different bee species, 3 different ant species, and countless miscellaneous bugs. its really great. your garden?

My mom, sister, and I all take care of the same garden. XP It's not very big though. Just a small part of our yard. I need to get some new pictures, as everything has grown ALOT since our last pictures. lol. Even though small, it seems to have been producing enough food to keep us fed. We have a lot of things. I forget everything we have. XD We have strawberry's, carrots, garlic, onions, potato's ( i forget what kind, I'm bad XD), lettuce, radishes, peas, bell peppers, more then one kind of tomato's, cucumbers, zucchini. And um.. I know theres more. I just cant think of them right now. XD We've also started some blueberry bushes, but they're still little. I don't expect anything out of them this year. I can't wait until they are big like my brothers blueberry bushes. His have SOOOOO many blueberry's growing on them. XD

Neat ![8D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/insane.png) Blueberry's are one of my favs. XD Grapes. I forgot to mention the grapes. We have them too. XD They were actually origionally the neghbors, but they grew over the fence. The neighbors don't even pick the grapes off of it anymore. o.O But they agreed to leave it there. XD

Yeah, they are ![8D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/insane.png) I'm trying to convince my mom to make the garden bigger next year. She did the original planting of it, and everything is SO cramped together. The tomato plants are growing over and like.. attacking the bell peppers and some of the lettuce. lol. I'm too scared to move the plants now, though, since they're so big. >.<
