If you're a writer and want to be published, this looks like a GREAT service for beginners: www.infinitypublishing.comI hope this isn't too out of place but I wanted to let you all know about it and this seemed like an appropriate sub-forum. Flexico and Jess, I'm totally looking at you. But I know there are other wonderful authors-to-be here too. This isn't like traditional publishing, it's publishing on demand. You don't sell your manuscript to them. Instead they sell you their services. They will publish almost any book for $499 flat. Then they sell it for you on Amazon.com and their own website, and you get 30% royalty for retail. (15% if the book is sold at discount.) I'm pretty sure it's actually cheaper this way, because you don't have to hire an agent to do backflips for you to attract attention from one of those big-time publishers. And your book can still be sold in stores. If you want more information check out that website. I just requested the free publishing guide, so I'll let you know what that's like when it arrives.

Oh I should mention before I sound like an idiot (too late?) that Predators & Editors says they've "heard good things" about Infinity Publishing. So it's not a scam operation and it's not a bloodsucker either.

I can never continue a story long enough to make a full book. ^^;
