Just a poem I wrote when I was bored. Enjoy it, and give me crits and suggs!
Mary had a little lamb his fleece was white as snow And everywhere the Mary went The lamb was sure to go It followed her to school one day Though 'Twas against the rules It made the children laugh and play To see a lamb at school Mary had a little lamb And Jesus was His name Into the schools He once was taught And to little hearts He came Today we have a different rule Of putting lies into their heads And were there once were Holy Bibles There sat false textbooks instead The cheats and falsehoods began to spread Hard to know truth from lies No longer could kids bring their bibles But came with guns at their sides Instead of hearing holy words preached We hear harsh words and jeers Instead of feeling His redemption We feel emptiness and tears We question ourselves "What has happened To our nation's rules? What has become of these sacrilegious warzones That we call 'Public schools?'" We wonder and we worry What has caused this awful rule That Mary's lamb as pure as snow Should not re-enter our schools?
Meh, I hate boredom.. Oh, and thank you Barbara for helping with the lyrics! (Barbara is Flamula. =3)

WOW, that's awesome Sunfeather! I love how it starts out as the nursery rhyme and then ties into a deeper issue. Kind of like innocence changing to corruption, which is what the poem is about. You can feel it as you read.
