This morning I heard that President Bush vetoed a childrens' health plan. My initial reaction was one of shock, kind of disgusted that he would do this, but then I read what he had to say:
"Poor kids first." "Secondly, I believe in private medicine, not the federal government running the health care system."
And I have to admit I kind of agree with that. What are your thoughts?

I haven't been following American politics since it doesn't affect me at all but health care is a problem in other countries, too. I'm not sure about how it works elsewhere, but we have the government running our health care and it is far from perfect. People far from the capital don't really get much care from the national government. I guess it's because we aren't French enough. The government doesn't pay for health care even when it's supposed to.
Sorry I am not too well-versed in politics so I'm probably not making much sense. It's a better deal when that kind of thing is privatized because then you don't have to pay the extra taxes for nothing.
