Some definite plotholes, but it's just as captivating as the first. C: Kovu & Vitani are awesome, but I don't like what they did with Simba's personality. ): I'm sure becoming King and a father made him straighten up quite a bit, but he went straight from laid-back & apathetic to freaking PARANOID. -_-
Kiara's such a blonde. XD *pokes her* Timon & Pumbaa overcompensated for her being a girl too, and went along with Simba's paranoia.
OK, lots more negative than positive, but I guess it's more of a "I liked the whole thing except..." kind of thing. XD

So true! I think that it could have been a little more thought out. It was a little more for younger aged kids (younger than me >>) because of a few things. I mean, it was still a really good film, of course any film of Disney is really good.

i used to like this movie but the more i think about it, the more i started to dislike it XP i typically dislike sequels to... well, anything. id rather good movies be kept to the original because sequels can totally ruin a story. i really didnt like how Simba was portrayed in SP and he was my favorite character from TLK. then there werent any hyenas in SP i liked the hyenas. i didnt really like the outlanders in SP. they didnt make much sense and lacked a real motive. i dont understand why theyre so popular >.<

Renji: I like the design of the outlanders, but you're right about having no motive... and how they changed sides so quickly in the end. theguardianshadow: Lol! XD

another thing i dont get is why people like Vitani so much. she didnt really contribute to the plot much, if at all.

ya, shes a tomboy but shes not a very interesting character. i dunno, i guess ive never understood why people like characters just for one reason >.< she had no personality, imo.

I think a lot of people like Vitani because of her appearance and her "bad"-ness. But I could be wrong. I agree that the Outlanders' motive was weak. We know they supported Scar and thought him the rightful king, but they failed to provide a reason for that. And they did change sides much too easily. But I guess the movie was aimed at kids, and kids don't need much of an explanation. They just need enough to distinguish the "good guys" from the "bad guys".

They really don't. Have you seen the sequel to The Hunchback of Notre Dame? I was so disappointed I almost cried. >_>

I think the worst sequel ever was "The Return of Jafar". I mean, even when I was little and it came out I didn't like it.

lol, i never liked Return of Jafar, either. the third Aladdin movie was alright, though. i even have a figurine of Aladdin's dad LOL. i havent seen the movie in forever, though, so i may have a different opinion of it now, but thats the only Disney sequel ill ever admit to liking. i know there was a whole flurry of sequels Disney made kinda randomly but i dont even remember what most of them were lol, i guess they fail XP
