I wonder if anyone else feels this way.. Do you think maybe TLK2: Simba's Pride sends a bad message to kids? Like, "if you're nice enough to a trained assassin maybe he'll fall in love with you and change his ways"? lol. I don't know. Maybe I'm reading too much into it. But in real life this would never work. Whether the guy is an assassin, a druggie, an alcoholic, a thief, or just a jerk, he's not going to change over a pretty girl. He may try with all noble intentions, but statistically he will fail.
As a side question, did Kiara ever actually find out about Kovu's REAL plans when he came to the Pridelands? They have a scene where he's rehearsing what he wants to tell her - "Kiara, Zira had a plot, and I was part of it but I don't wanna be..." But he gets interrupted and he never actually confessed that to her in the movie. Seems like she was in the dark right to the very end. Strange.

Well, we've been over the fact that the SP plot wasn't well-thought-out... maybe Kiara's omnipotent blondeness infected him. XD

i think that anything can have a negative message for kids if you look at it hard enough. ive seen parents complain about "negative messages" on just about anything that gets even remotely popular. as for me, im too dense to figure out the "hidden meanings" in stuff so i never notice XP either that or i just dont care.

That's true.. Hehe I like Flexico's comment about Kiara's blondeness. XD But yeah I guess anything could have a negative message. Around here a lot of parents don't like Rugrats but I never saw anything wrong with it. Maybe I missed something. lol Oh well.

lol, rugrats is as benign as it gets.
my mom's friend has serious issues with anime and video games in general. she thinks they corrupt kids' minds. one time even said it makes kids worship the devil o.O lol. well, ive watched anime all my life and played video games a while and here i am about to go to college for my third year and her son (anime and video game deprived) failed to graduate high school. hmmm ^^

Hmm, that's new.. Anime is just a style, right? I don't see how it could be inherently bad. And video games, they're just for fun.. I can see there being a problem if it starts to take over a person's life, but otherwise there's nothing wrong with it.

I never really liked TLK2. One thing I constantly tell my friends is: Don't think he'll change just because you get married.

I just saw a pic over on TLKFAA of Vitani warning Kiara about that... and Kiara just says "I know him enough to know he loves me" or something like that... it's in the contest.

I was wondering how that happened... i was always thinking it was just because Kovu was a chicken-**** or something... just a weak hater. My aunt thinks Rocket Power was a devils show but her kids played doom and listened to backstreet boys (many songs about sex) she's a little mixed up... I can see alot of bad things in some movies though...

I miss Rocket Power. And a lot of other old cartoons. When I was little, I would tape marathons of my favorite shows, but Mom eventually taped over them, 'cause I never watched them. After the modern cartoons we both really regret it. XD

Yeah cartoons these days seem like they're meant for adults lol. Not all of course, but some. I've seen some iffy things on Spongebob for example, but it's nothing the kids would really pick up on.

ya, i dont really like most of the "kid's" cartoons they show these days. besides the iffy things, they arent even funny :/ i thought the point was to be funny and they just dont do that... other than Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, hehe. i like Futurama and Robot Chicken, though LOL.
