Well it's been a long long wait for him but my Reverend 'Bud' has been in dire need of a liver. We were all worried he wouldn't get one in time. I got the call just a few hours ago that he went into surgery at 4 am this morning! Just about 10 minutes ago I got another call that he is out of surgery and stable in recovery!!! I am so happy today because of this. He has 3 young kids (the eldest is just learning to drive- that makes me feel old cause I held her when she was little) that will have one Merry Christmas this year. He is still in my thoughts and prayers because I know first hand a transplant is not fun, and his journey through this is not over yet. I never thought God would forget him. I will post updates as I can.

He is doing well and all is functioning properly! I did learn today that it was a cadaver donner. I must ask to keep the family of the person who died in your prayers, it must be very hard, and so close to the holidays. I am glad they were donners or Bud would still be waiting.
