Now I remember why I used to hate Christians. (And after today, I'm glad I know better.) -Start rant- My family has been going to this church here in Des Moines and they have kids church during the morning services. Well we got a late start this morning and the service had already started by the time we walked in. We were going to just take the kids with us and sneak in and sit in the back row, but they really wanted to go to kids church. In kids church they basically just play, run around, and do crafts.. It's not like a regular service.. So I thought what the heck we'll knock on the door and see if they'll take 'em in. So we did, and this elderly lady came out and chewed our heads off for being late. At church! You know what's really ironic? We had to bring my daughter in late to school one day because our alarm didn't go off, and THE SCHOOL treated us better than this "Christian" lady did. We were really upset. I'm still kind of upset now. I was close to telling her off but that wouldn't have been very useful either.. Everyone else we've met at that church has been wonderful. It's those few with the snotty attitudes who give the rest of us a bad name. I probably would have met Jesus years earlier than I did if it hadn't been for all the blatant, sour hypocrites marring up his face. I know I have my faults too but I've decided that if I ever turn that way I want someone to shoot me. -End rant-

omg, i've been feeling this exact way the past week. hearing about ''christians'' on tv who supposedly shot their mother or something crazy like that.... "christians" bashing a guest on oprah that they didn't like, stupid, stupid stuff!! aargh, its so frustrating!! and even more frustrating than that is the ones who actually act like christians are supposed to act hide (besides a few) i want us to wake up and face the music!! of course, i'm not saying i'm perfect, I was the ring leader of the "hiders" to some extent. but i dont want to hide anymore, and i dont want other christians to hide anymore, but what is one lonely voice in a deaf world??
ok, sorry 'bout that. i just figured since u were ranting, i could too. i'm fine now XD

I know exactly what you mean! You know that guy who shot up Virginia Tech? Even he said something like he was doing it for Jesus. It's definitely time to get loud. That's what I'm trying to do with Sera Imara. We're getting dangerously close to the end times. Did you hear what's happening in May of next year? The Real ID Act. Mandatory cards for everyone in the US that we can't travel without, can't buy or sell without serious restrictions. Sounds too close to the mark, and where would the majority of us hold the card? In our right hand.
Revelation 13:16-18 - He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666.
I don't know about the 666. Maybe this isn't the mark of the beast yet, or maybe I'm just not wise enough to fully discern it. But am I wrong or does this sound awfully shady? Anyway I refuse to take the card. My family will starve first if we have to, and I'm pretty sure that's exactly what'll happen since our food stamps (government help) will probably be dropped for lack of the card. You'd think there would be more people fighting this.. Actually there are several large movements against it, but there's nothing they can really do. It got through Congress and Bush is going to sign it into effect for May 2008. He said he would.

wow, may 2008? no, i hadn't heard about that! that's a little too close for comfort. have u heard that by the year 2020, american muslims plan to have a muslim president? they are donating money to colleges in return for a muslim chair on that college's board, more & more are moving to the USA.... they stand up for what they believe in. they're louder than we are! its no wonder so many people think that christianity is a dying religion!!

Well that's all we need...Muslims. I hadn't heard of that. I hope the sleeping churches will wake up and take a stand before then. Most people in our country are too easily deceived. Islam a religion of peace? HAH! Unlike them I've actually studied the Qu'ran. It's a book of hate, and Muslims are trained deceivers. Our liberals will put a Muslim in the White House and then brag about how "tolerant" they are, until they have a knife to their throats and fingertips, because that's what a true Muslim would do. Too late then. Don't they see how far all the other Muslim-controlled countries have fallen? Look at Turkey for goodness sake. Argh!...Why won't the scales fall off??

my pastor was talking about this subject Sunday. she was a history major, and she brought up a vision that George Washington had at valley forge. it was a vision of three battles. the first one was of course, the revolutionary war. he saw america as the victor in that battle. the second battle was the world wars. america made it through that battle as well. the third battle he saw is what many believe is the war we're in right now. america made it through this final battle, but at a great cost. dont forget either, that we wrestle not against flesh and blood. if u'd like more info on the spiritual side of the war ruukah, pm me. my pastor went into great detail, and it was quite a wake up call.

That's interesting. I think I had heard something about him having a vision before but I had no idea what it was about. PMing you now...
